Naomi Bourne
Naomi is the owner of Highgate Pilates. She qualified with Bodycontrol® in 2012. Naomi teaches mat Pilates to all levels, and Barre classes. She is a registered HIP® (High Intensity Power) Pilates instructor and a qualified Buff Bones® instructor. Buff Bones® is a medically endorsed, full body exercise system for bone and joint health. Naomi has practiced Yoga for about 20 years and feels it is a wonderful complement to Pilates. She completed her British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) 60-hour foundation course with Tara Fraser in 2015. Sandra Canty
Sandra is a very experienced Pilates instructor having qualified with Bodycontrol® in 2002, and has worked as a supervising teacher. She is also qualified with Barre Concept®. Sandra has attended many specialist courses including working with older people and Pilates for scoliosis. She brings this wealth of knowledge, care and patience into all her classes.
Samantha Flower
Samantha qualified as a Pilates instructor under the tutelage of the legendary Alan Herdman. This initial training focused strongly on remedial work and injury prevention. She has since trained with Karen Clippinger and Kelly McKinnon in advanced machine, small equipment and mat work.
Samantha’s extensive, ongoing training with James D’Silva includes the full Garuda® repertoire of machine, mat, barre and roller work. With over 20 years of experience in Pilates and yoga, Samantha is still as passionate about learning and teaching the technique as when she started.
Marla Ezer
Marla has been in the fitness industry for 24 years and has been teaching Pilates for the last 15 years. She qualified with Polestar, and more recently with Body Control®. She loves practicing Yoga in her spare time, and uses elements of this in her strong and creative intermediate class.
Vicky Ford
Vicky has been teaching Pilates for 10 years. Prior to this she trained as a professional dancer. She used her background to create her own barre classes which she has been teaching for 6 years. As part of her ongoing education Vicky regularly attends courses and classes, keeping her Pilates training up to date which in turn keeps her classes fresh, fun and dynamic.
Jo Cowan
After 12 years of practicing yoga, Jo completed her 200 hours training with Naomi Annand and Adam Hocke at Yoga on the Lane. She teaches dynamic vinyassa, with a focus on breath-led movement, aiming to build both strength of body and stillness of mind.
Jo is skilled at creating accepting and supportive environments, and her classes are designed for all levels, and all bodies; her priority is to create a safe space for people to connect with themselves kindly, and to develop confidence in their own abilities.
Teaching light-hearted and joyful classes, Jo believes the best thing she can leave her students with is an ability to maintain a compassionate and comfortable relationship with themselves and an awareness of their own wisdom.
Nancy Castiglioni
Nancy is a Pilates Instructor and International Presenter who has taught classes and workshops to instructors all over the world. She is Balanced Body Mat certified, has a Classical Mat certification through IRPA Internacional and is also certified as a Full Studio Classical Pilates Professor through L’arte International / Mariano Dolagaray.
Nancy teaches a Classical Creative Master class for Teachers & Advanced Students every Wednesday 12.30-1.30pm on Zoom. Price includes access to a library of all Nancy’s recorded classes.
